PROVISIONS (AMENDMENT) REGULATION, 1983.

REGULATION
to amend the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas Special Provision {Amendment) Regulation, 1976.

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas Special Provisions (Amendment) Regulation, 1976 (N.-W. F. P. Reg. IV of 1976), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

AND WHEREAS the Governor of a Province, with the prior approval of the President, may, with respect to any matter within the legislative competence of the Provincial Assembly, make Regulations for a Provincially Administered Tribal Areas or any part thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of the fifth day of July, 1977, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province, with the prior approval of the President, is pleased to make the following Regulation:—

1.         Short title and commencement.—(1) This Regulation may be called the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas Special Provisions (Amendment) Regulation, 1983.

(2) It shall come into force- at once.

2.         Amendment of section 1 of N.-W. F. P. Reg. IV of 1976.—In the Provincially Administered Tribal area Special Provisions(Amendment)Regulation, 1976 (N.-W. F. P., Reg. IV of 1976), hereinafter referred to as the said Regulation, in section 1, in sub-section (2). after the word "Kohistan" the comma and words, "Malakand Protected Area" shall be inserted.
3.         Modification of section 3 of N.-W. F. P. Reg. IV of 1976.—In its application to the Malakand Protected Area, the said Regulation shall have effect as if the reference in sub-section (1) of section 3 thereof to "this Regulation" were a reference to the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas Special Provisions (Amendment) Regulation. 1983.
