AN ACT
further to amend the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province (Salaries and Allowances of Members) Act , 1974.


Preamble

            WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province (Salaries and Allowances of Members) Act, 1974 (N.-W. F. P. Act No. XI of 1974), for the purposes hereinfter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:—


Short title and commencement

1.         (1) This Act may be called the Provincial Assembly of the North- West Frontier Province (Salaries and Allowances of Members) (Amendment) Act, 1987.

 (2) It shall come into force at once.


Additions of a new section 7A in the N W F P Act of No XI of 1974

2.         In the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province (Salaries and Allowances of Members) Act, 1974 (N.-W. F. P. Act No. IX of 1974), hereinafter referred to as the said Act, after section 7, the following new section 7A shall be added, namely:—

"7A. Office Maintenance Allowance.—A Member shall be entitled to receive an office maintenance, allowance at the rate of five hundred rupees per month.".


Amendment of section 8 of N W F P Act No XI of 1974

3.         In the said Act, section 8 shall be deleted and substituted by a new section, namely:—

"8.  Medical Facilities—A. Member shall be entitled for himself, spouse, minor children and un-married daughter residing with or wholly dependent on the Member to free indoor as well as out door medical facilities of the standard admissible to a B-20 Officer of the Government.".
